Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Pickin30 ("Company", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the Pickin30 mobile application and API (collectively, the "Service").

By signing in, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You may not use the Service if you have been previously banned by Pickin30.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:

• Keep your phone number / Google account secure.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised access.
• Not share your account with or transfer it to any other person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subject to these Terms, Pickin30 grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes to:

• Discover movie and series recommendations personalised to your taste.
• Record your viewing preferences, watchlist, and watch history.
• Rate and review content.
• Share content recommendations with other users or via external channels.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without our written permission.
• Submit false or misleading ratings or reviews.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the application or API.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications (spam).

When you submit ratings, reviews, or other content ("User Content") you:

• Retain ownership of your User Content.
• Grant Pickin30 a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and use your User Content solely to operate the Service.
• Confirm your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights.
• Agree not to submit content that is hateful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our discretion.

All rights, title, and interest in the Service — including the app design, source code, recommendation algorithms, trade marks, and logos — are owned by Pickin30 or its licensors.

Movie metadata, posters, and artwork are provided by TMDB under their terms of use. OTT availability data is provided by Watchmode.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited use licence in Section 4.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Firebase, TMDB, and Watchmode. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Pickin30 is not responsible for the content or practices of third-party services.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose.
• Accuracy or completeness of content metadata.
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• OTT availability being up-to-date at any given moment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pickin30 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

By you: You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This initiates a soft-delete; your data is fully purged after 90 days.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via push notification or in-app banner. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you disagree with any change, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
